On this amazingly gorgeous Thanksgiving Day, these pictures just popped out to me and seemed perfect for the day of indulgence and glutony. Polish photographer Boguslaw Strempel wakes up early in the morning to capture the fog deep in the forests of Poland and the Czech Republic. There’s something about waking up early and accomplishing something like these photographs that just make me want to become a morning person.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
There’s a bunch of ideas floating around the web as to what the new iPhone will look and work like. I’ve seen the posts, liked some, disliked others, but I haven’t liked one enough to post it on here until now. Remember when I posted about the Instagram Socialmatic Camera last week? Well, the same concept creator, Antonio De Rosa, dived into creating his version of the iPhone 5. He calls it the iPhone plus, seriously an attention grabbing name.
Not only is the name super cool, but the features he has added onto his version of the iPhone would have me waiting in line for this (which I haven’t done yet…and probably never will…unless this comes true).
• Liquidmetal Body: thermoformed on a single plane, no junctions needed
• Screen with double alkali-aluminosilicate sheet glass
• 4.3″ Retina Display with In-Cell technology
• A6 Quad Core processor
• Rear Camera: 10.0 Megapixel, f/2.4, 1080p Full HD video at 30 frame/s
• Front Camera: 2.0 Megapixel (VGA), 480p VGA video at 30 frame/s
• Rear motion sensor
• Top pico-projector to beam photos and videos on any surfaces (the picture above gives you a good view of what this might look like)
• Slim design for an edge-to-edge thinner profile
• New slim-dock connector
• Fully Capacitive Home Button
What do you think of ADR’s concept for the iPhone? Would you wait in line for it opening day? Or just wait ’til it becomes cheaper?
Antonio De Rosa has created the Instagram Socialmatic Camera. Unfortunately only a concept, but the idea behind it is fantastic. If you’re as addicted to Instagram as me and Rick are…then this might interest you too.
Many people have wondered what Instagram might do with their newly acquired billion dollars from Facebook, and this is Antonio’s idea…the first Instagram photo camera. It’s a very iPhone inspired design…I can already see that they both would look really good together. Here are some of the features the Socialmatic would hold:
I really like the idea behind this. Only thing I could see to make it better would be to incorporate other photo apps, because people aren’t just using Instagram to put filters on their pictures they use way more apps to get the image they want. It would be cool to have it be a social / photo camera. The first of it’s kind.

I enjoy cameras. I don’t consider myself a photographer by any means…but I enjoy taking pictures. Now you might call me a hipster for this…but I enjoy film camera’s more then I enjoy digital (except my iPhone…does that really count though?). The only thing I haven’t liked about my Pentax k1000 is that the strap I have is small and it rubs into my neck whenever I wear it like a tourist in Hawaii.
I think I might have found the solution though. The A7 Camera Accessories Company makes The Original Camera Strap that would go perfect with film or digital cameras. It gives you that look of a rustic traveller who was tired of getting your neck bruised by your old strap.
It comes in three colors black, brown, or reversible olive and gray edition. Even though it’s more expensive, I would go for the olive / grey one…

There’s something about seeing what a person carries on them at all times. I like it because I get to see a glimpse inside the mind of a creative, and possibly take something away and start carrying it myself to start improving my life to the MAX.
Essentials: Quang Le
Probably my favorite “Essentials” I’ve found so far…just because I’m like him and carry a bunch…you just never know when you’re gonna need something. And I like the backpack…a whole heck of a lot.
Essentials: David Beckham
I like this route as well. Not carrying much at all. Really – just the “essentials.”
If you click on the names – it’ll take you to their Essentials tag page and Hypebeast has neatly numbered and shown us everything that we want to know about the pictures and what exactly they carry.
It’s kinda cool.
When thrown into the air – this ball – compacted with 36 mobile phone camera modules takes a panoramic view at the top of its flight.
Chances are – you or I will never buy this, but seriously – how much fun would you have with this? I would chuck this thing off roofs and ferris wheels. On second thought…I might want to buy it.
I like Instagram. I’m actually kind of addicted to it. I don’t take pictures everyday…even though it would be a good practice to get in to, but I check my Instagram feed basically everyday. It’s fun. As much as I love film photography, it kills me to not be out taking pictures with my old Pentax camera, handed down by my dad, everyday – that’s why Instagram is a nice substitute. You don’t get the whole “What’s this picture gonna look like?” feeling (which is basically the reason we shoot on film right?), because you know exactly what your sharing, but the filters are very impressive and fun to play around with.
This infograph shows us the combination of film and camera that makes our beloved instagram filters so gosh darn cool.
Here’s a hi-def version from Jeannie Jeannie.
And one more thing – real quick – another reason I love Instagram is because it’s like a scrapbook on my phone. I can go back and relive memories / places / feelings in seconds. It’s nostalgia, really. You can do that on your phone, but if you’re like me, there’s too many photos on my camera roll. I’ve put all the pics I’ve taken that I feel the need to share on my profile.

So a lot of mixed notes about Apple’s release of the new 4S, and I just wanted to share my opinion.
It’s freaking great. #Fo’realz
I’m not sure what people are “upset” about – maybe it’s because they’re calling it a 4S and not a 5G – so, to some, it might seem like just a step up and not a whole jump away from the 4G.
With adding the A5 dual core processor which says its twice the speed that the regular 4G is, an 8MP camera with face recognition, image stabilization, noise reduction, better picture, etc…, and adding a voice recognition “assistant” called Siri – it seems like one giant leap for the iPhone to me.
I actually fist bumped the air when I saw Siri featured in the video below. I’m not joking. An actual fist bump. It excites me that much.
How cool is that? I’m not sure why some peeps are going all ape wild over how not cool this thing is…
Look…I would have bought the dang thing with just a camera upgrade – and you would have too. It’s Apple. People like us are wired to buy Apple technology, stock, t-shirts, Microsoft hater bumper stickers, and black turtle necks. It’s who we are!
But seriously…how cool is that Siri thing? So good right? Gah! #stoked
